Supporting Children Towards Better Breathing

About

We are thrilled to introduce the Supporting Children Towards Better Breathing 3-hour CPD certified course - an empowering resource designed for parents, caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, social workers, and anyone with a personal or professional connection to a child. From birth, children naturally breathe as nature intended - beautifully and efficiently. However, as they grow, factors such as frequent colds, environmental influences, stress and modern lifestyles can disrupt this natural pattern. Over time, changes in breathing can impact both their physical and mental health, even influencing their long-term well-being. This course is simple, practical, and easy to integrate into daily life. It provides clear, actionable strategies to support better breathing habits in children. Dr Louise Oliver has over 20 years of experience as a GP in the NHS, and has seen first-hand how essential good breathing is for children’s health and development. On a personal level, she has witnessed how learning to breathe effectively can be truly life - changing. Children naturally imitate the adults around them, which is why it’s equally important for caregivers and professionals to develop healthy breathing practices themselves. Through Charlotte’s work as a Pilates and breathing instructor, she has seen just how crucial natural, healthy breathing and movement are for children’s development. Children are not simply smaller versions of adults; they require breathing exercises that respect and support their unique developmental stage. She has witnessed time and again how enthusiastically children embrace these practices when taught in an engaging way. With this in mind, Charlotte and Louise have designed a course that is both informative and enjoyable, equipping you with tools to support children’s physical health, mental resilience, and long-term well-being. Join them in shaping a healthier future - one breath at a time.
